The Juggernaut Commission - Marvel Crisis Protocol

At Brush and Anvil, we thrive on larger-than-life characters, and few embody raw, unstoppable power quite like The Juggernaut. This commission gave us the chance to tackle one of Marvel’s most iconic heavy hitters, reimagined in his unmistakable yellow prison uniform as seen in Deadpool 2, a bold, high-impact look that demands attention on the tabletop.

Building a Scene That Can Take the Impact

Juggernaut’s base needed to feel solid, something that could believably survive his presence, even if only barely. We constructed a rugged urban environment with fractured concrete, cracked surfaces, and subtle debris, suggesting a cityscape already straining under his weight. The base was designed to ground the model physically and visually, reinforcing the idea that Juggernaut isn’t just standing in the scene, he’s imposing himself on it.

Muted greys and neutral tones were chosen deliberately to allow the vibrant yellow of the outfit to dominate without competition.

Painting the Unstoppable

The yellow prison outfit was the defining feature of this commission, and getting it right was crucial. We built the colour up in smooth, saturated layers to keep it bold and instantly recognisable, while introducing careful shading and highlight placement to maintain volume across Juggernaut’s massive frame. Subtle wear and tonal variation were added to avoid a flat finish and to hint at the brutality of his incarceration and escape.

Skin tones were painted with strong contrast and warmth to match the exaggerated proportions of the sculpt, while the helmet and metallic elements were treated with darker, weightier finishes to balance the brightness of the uniform. Every highlight was placed to emphasise muscle definition and sheer mass, ensuring Juggernaut reads as powerful from every angle.

The Final Result

The finished model delivers exactly what we aim for at Brush and Anvil: impact, clarity, and character. Juggernaut’s towering form, clad in vivid yellow, immediately commands attention and tells a story straight out of the film, a force of nature barely contained, moments away from tearing through anything in his path.

This commission was an absolute blast to work on, and we’re proud of how striking it looks both as a display piece and on the Marvel Crisis Protocol tabletop. If you’re looking to commission a centrepiece model that leans into bold colour, strong presence, and cinematic inspiration, the Brush and Anvil workshop is always open.
